At the end of the quarry is a small hole in the grass, this leads into the White Cove, which was in-filled many years ago after a number of skeletons were found there. At present one can just see where the Cave was but in 1888 it was said to be of considerable size. One has to be careful not to trip and fall into the hole.
Return to the shore and continue towards the Gas Works Cave. .
